Why We Built the Shopify Connector

Earlier this year we launched our first e-commerce connector: Webflow E-Commerce. Unsurprisingly, this led to a chorus of requests for the 800-pound e-comm gorilla that is Shopify. With this new Shopify connector, we couldn’t be happier about the amazing use cases it unlocks. Ultimately, Shopify is an amazing tool, but managing hundreds or thousands of products in their UI can take forever.

Why We Built the WordPress Connector

WordPress was started back in 2003 and today powers an estimated 40% of the world’s websites (🤯). While Webflow is still one of our personal favorites, we wanted to support similar use cases for the millions of people building on WordPress. We’re excited to share that our Postgres connector is officially live! There are many tools that 1-way pull data out of Postgres or 1-way push data into Postgres.

Whalesync is one of the only tools that 2-way syncs data between Postgres and apps like HubSpot, Airtable, and Shopify.

While this connector is meant to save time for developers, it’s fully configurable with no code. You just need a Postgres connection string and you can instantly start mapping tables.

We added support for Airtable OAuth. If you're creating a new base, you can now use Airtable permissions rather than an API key.

Airtable enabled OAuth earlier this year for more targeted permissions. We've now switched over to their new authorization system so you don't have to use your Airtable API Key to use Whalesync.

Field Mapping Untoggled

Previously, updating field mappings could be unwieldy if you had dozens of tables. Now all tables default to 'toggle closed' so you can quickly update just the fields you want.

Wistia video support for Notion Page Sync

Notion page sync previously supported videos from YouTube and Vimeo. Now it also includes support for Wistia!

About Webflow Memberships Sync

With our Webflow Memberships Sync, you can now manage all of your users from within apps like Airtable or Notion! This makes it easy to:

• Create BI dashboards on your users (in Airtable)
• Bulk update users
• Connect your users to other information (e.g. billing info)

Getting Set Up

Webflow Memberships sync is available on all Webflow plans. To sync Webflow users, simply choose "User accounts" from the Whalesync table mapping page:

Webflow lets you control the status of an item by marking it as either Published, Draft, or Archived. With our Webflow Status field extension, you can now control that state from apps like Airtable or Notion.
